Keeping your area rugs looking great can be achieved relitively easy.
♦ We recommend that you have your area rugs professionally cleaned twice a year. Generally in the beginning of spring when all the ice and snow has melted. Winter months can bring a lot of snow, mud and salt into your home. Cleaning your area rugs can remove dirt and bacteria from your area rugs and make them fresh for the spring. We also suggest cleaning them at the end of summer as this is a very busy in and out season with a lot of traffic coming and going.
♦Between cleanings there are a few things that you can do to keep your area rugs looking good.
One way is to bring your rug outside and shake any excess dirt off of the rug and then hang it outside in the fresh air for a few hours. This will remove odors and any residual dirt. You can also brush your carpets with a carpet brush to remove any hair that may be trapped in the fibers. Vacuuming your area rugs at least twice a week is also recommended to help remove any sand and debris that has been trampled into the carpet fibers.
