Imagine spilling red wine on your light colored carpet? This seems like an impossible stain to remove but is actually not as hard as it seems.
First thing that should be done is to soak up as much of the wine that you can as soon as the spill occurs. You can do this with a soft white cloth. Blot the area until you have removed most of the liquid.
Then you can mix a solution by adding 1 tablespoon of white vinegar and 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap to 2 cups of warm water. Apply a small amount of the solution to the stain and blot with a clean white cloth. Repeat until the stain has disappeared.
