Pet Stain Removal Between Professional Cleans, Plymouth, Ma

Although we love our furry friends lets face it sometimes they can make a mess. And as important as it is to have your carpets cleaned professionally on a regular bases sometimes accidents can occur between cleanings. Below are some tips to remove pet stains between professional cleanings.

♦For Urine Removal:

The most important thing is to soak up as much of the urine as possible. Once dry it will be harder to remove the odor. Use a towel to soak up as much of the urine as possible by pressing the towel into the carpet. Once you have removed as much of the liquid as you can mix 2 cups of warm water, 2 cups of vinegar and 4 tablespoons of baking soda. Pour into a spray bottle and spray on the affected area. Let this sit for a few minutes and then gently blot with a cloth. Repeat until most of the liquid has been absorbed. When stain has been removed blot area with a damp cloth to rinse product and blot with a dry towel to remove moisture. This process should remove the stain and the smell from your carpet.

♦For Vomit Removal:

Vomit contains acid and can stain very quickly. So clean the affected area as soon as possible. Remove as much of the solid matter as you can. Once the solid matter is removed soak up as much moisture as you can using a towel by gently blotting the area as to not press the stain further into the rug. Once most of the moisture is absorbed mix a solution of 2 cup of warm water, 1 tablespoon of liquid dish detergent, 1 tablespoon of salt and a 1/2 cup of vinegar. Apply to the affected area using a sponge or clean cloth. Gently blot the area, Repeat until stain is removed. Once stain is removed rinse the area by gently blotting the area with a damp cloth, repeat until rinsed and blot with dry towel to absorb excess liquid..

♦For Feces Removal:

Remove any solid waste then mix 1 tablespoon dish washing liquid and one tablespoon white vinegar with 2 cups of warm water, Apply solution to a clean cloth and blot the affected area. Repeat until the stain has been removed. When stain has disappeared blot the area with a damp cloth to remove solution and blot with dry towel until most of the liquid has been absorbed.
